Description:
XML & Web Services In 60 Minutes
Joint Meeting with BCS Tayside on Thursday 9th November 2003
Presented by Craig Murphy of CraigMurphy.com

This highly entertaining and well attended seminar saw Craig Murphy demonstrating various ways to build Web Services. We were even brave enough to do this in a true client - server environment .

Abstract
A tutorial with code and demonstrations: how to build ‘raw’ XML-based web services using XML and HTTP, usage of the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit to build web services from DLLs, and how Microsoft .NET makes developing XML web services as easy as 123!

Craig Murphy is a published writer on web technologies, a presenter at developer conferences and a founder member of Scottish Developers.

The downloadable zip archive contains the Powerpoint presentation and the source code to replicate the examples.
